The Lionstone Inn Motel and Cottages

Good for a short stay, very romantic bathroom with Jacuzzi and red lighting. Clean and comfortable. Although photos online are deceiving. The boat in the photo and the building are not this motel and are actually a completely separate venue.

What a nice little motel. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean the room was. It's nothing special, but it was clean, quiet and well maintained. We'd stay here again

Very nice! Stayed there 2 different times last summer, in Cabin 23. Advertised as 'economy' the old cabin is exactly that; clean, tidy and inexpensive. It was perfect for my needs; in late, out early no use for frills. This is a very nice motel. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I would recommend it to friends and family.

Rooms are decent. Clean place to sleep. Staff are very friendly, even shared their traditional meal with us because it smelled so good. Definitely will stay here again.

Very good that we came upon this place because our ferry ride got cancelled. They had a cabin left and it's such a cute place! The heating may be lopsided, where it doesn't go into one of the rooms. But the cabin was still cozy! Had what we needed, including a stove, fridge, microwave, utensils. The appearance was a sweet country cabin, made of lovely wood! Some decorations to make it feel homey as well. All the utilities worked and there was good cable! Ha ha! I recommend the place to anyone, and the lady at the desk was pleasant as well, as brief as our encounter was.

The motel is obviously dated but the location is fabulous close to everything except the ocean. Grocery. Gas food within walking distance and the roomrates were good. The staff were helpful and friendly. Nice bathroom

Rooms are Older renovations...by a crew that dosn't do much renovating, lol. Cant speak of the cabins, since i didnt stay in one. Otherwise, clean, neat, and great service. Nice location to get to pictou, all services within a few minutes...New Glasgow 15 minutes away. Place probably goes dead quiet in winter, but summer time wandering around the waterfront is relaxing, not terribly crowded.good food locally, but prepare for tourist prices...lol.

Good place to stay for the night. Motel is easy to locate from the road and conveniently located near the ferry. The room was as expected. Checking in was odd, but easy. I arrived later than the regular check in time and on the website, it indicated I would receive an email with instructions. I did not. I called the phone number on my confirmation email and the front desk person answered. From there, I was able to easily check in. The room is older with thin walls so you can hear your neighbours. The sheets were clean and there was excellent water pressure in the shower. Although decor was outdated, it satisfied our needs to stay for one night before we catch the ferry. Checkout was easy, just dropped the key in a box outside of the office.
